It’s been a little while since the last post and a lot has happened in the meantime. I became quite poorly with an autoimmune condition and had to stop work and studying for a while. We moved house to be closer to friends and family and the boys have started at a new school. So it has been quite hectic over here!
Things are settling down now so there will be regular posts on the blog again and I look forward to hearing your feedback. Are there any questions you have about autism that you’d like the answer to? Is there a particular area of caring that you are finding difficult and would like to talk about it? Let me know…
I had to stop working for a while but have recently been offered a new position in an interesting role…more about that soon!
My studies had to be put on hold at the end of the last academic year, but thankfully I’ve found a university that will allow me to complete my studies via distance learning and will give me to write a thesis about the latest autism research. I’m very excited about that!
I’ve also decided to expand the blog a little to include more posts about the common co-morbidities we get with ASD, such as ADHD and dyspraxia so stay tuned over the next few months for more information.
The boys are loving their new home and new school; they have settled in very well. It was something we were worried about as we all know how hard change can be for our children. Thankfully, with plenty of support from both schools, there was a seamless transition and they are now well settled in the new area. They are really enjoying being closer to their friends too.
It’s been a challenging few months but everything has worked out well so far. I have to say though, it’s nice to be able to get back into a regular routine!
